Solidworks Customization:

1. Add ANSI Modified standard to the part template.


2. In the weldment, add WEIGHT as a property and save as Part-Weldment template.
3. For the existing parts made in As-Machined configuration, correct material under the As-
Machined configuration for As-Welded configuration so that correct amount is carried into
the weldment cutlist table on the drawings.

Drafting Standards:

1. Weldment Part Level: Add following in the properties:


a. Material: XXXXX
b. Weight: XXXXX
c. Revision: X
d. In the cutlist folder:
i. Add Weight for each weldment cutlist item and adjust for correct cutlist item
ii. Add Revision for each weldment cutlist item
2. Weldment Sub-Assembly Drawing:
a. Link Revision to the Revision property of the weldment part in the title block.
3. Weldment Individual Drawing:
a. In the Material Cutlist table, make sure that the individual Weight(s) are accurate
and Revision # for each culist item are correct.

Drawing Error Checking:

1. Ensure compliance with the structural steel specification on the drawings and CSA S16-01.
2. Note down any errors/discrepancies on the drawings and convey to Client/Fabricator.
3. Check all items (notes, dimension etc) on the IFC drawing vs Shop Drawings
4. Check part/weldment quantities per assembly.
5. Issue Shop Drawings with Released For Construction electronic stamp on all drawings
reflecting right revision #
