My Grandma Thinks Shes Funny

The other day my grandmother, Mary, a wheelchair-bound, 70-something-year-old,

informed me her favorite way to insult someone, besides flat out swearing, is to use Harry Potter

lingo and curses. Now, many things can be learned from generations of older times and their

interactions with those who are younger and what can be offered from them. From mistakes

made or triumphs won of the past, to the changes and advancements of today, there is so much to

unravel. The relationship and interactions I have with the generation above me with my

grandmother, the good and the bad, reveals differences and similarities between older and

younger generations as a whole.
