September 2014

Now that our contractor Rydon has started work on the regeneration of Grenfell
Tower, we are taking this opportunity to tell you about the progress being made
there.

As you know, there has been a great deal of activity at ground level around the
tower. A lot of this has been because of Bouygues landscaping of the new
Kensington Aldridge Academy and the building of the Leisure Centre.

Grenfell Tower residents now enter the block from a new walkway entrance.
We removed the spiral ramp to the walkway to open up the area with improved
sightlines; environmental work is to follow.

We hope you have found the temporary signage helpful. We apologise for the
inconvenience this has caused; and if there are any specific concerns you want to
raise over the access to your home, please contact the housing team as below.

The regeneration will provide a whole range of improvements:

seven new flats

a new home for the Dale Youth Boxing Club
a new nursery
re-provision of community facilities (two function rooms for hire, kitchen and
WC)
the new Housing Office in the old EMB meeting rooms (currently access is
from the Latimer Road side only).
