INTRODUCTION ‘The Type LABS-1-D relay is a differential voltage reley designed to provide instantaneous bus d{fferential protection, When we condider the external fault, in order to reduce the differential error input, this type relay has large differential Ampedance, 2. The purpose of the high unit is to provide instantaneous operation (less than two cycles) for extremely severe internal ~ faults. To install or not to install this "Iiigh Set" unit 1s depend on customer's order. 4, SKPTTNOS ANT) CHARACTERTSTICS 4,1 Settings Tr (Rg * Fr) Vg t tao value of Relay : maximum external fault current Rg t d-c resistance of CT secondary Fy 2 restotance of ieads from differential ctreuit of Relay to most distant CT 3 AST | MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC CORPORATION 3 A ROIECTION eam — seers MC CORPORATION DIFFFRENTIAL VOLTAGE RELAY _ bo Wee Grawn_| cet | obbeito | Meoravel Type TABE=1-D EE] 7 mae ~ Ee |. . : free | | i PI-Boos. 3 4 v “Con 4& ae |. cHahce When Relay's tap 1s Vp, Minimum operating current of Relay 1s given by equation (2). @) T min = (q Tex + ty) oN a Number of terminals connected to the Bus Tex Secondary excitation current of the CT at a voltage equal to Vp current in'Relay cireutt at a voltage equal to Vz YR 5 1@ for 5 ACE) Tr” (SQ for Lac?)
