Read On 2: The Stranger

The Stranger is a book writing by Albert Camus, the story of a man who killed an

algerian man on the beach. Next he stand trial for his crimes, the case is a hard one for the lawyer

as the reasoning behind why he killed the man is the sun made him do it. The prosecutor's play

as a cold hearted man because of the fact that he did not care that his mother had died recently.

Eventually he loses the trial and is condemned to death.

What is the main character like? What problem does he or she have and how does he or

she face that problem?

The main character is a man called Meursault. He is a very quiet and to himself person.

He is not a man that shows his emotions. In the story Meursault faces a big problem that is the

police. He kills a man and now has to fight for his freedom.

Where does the story take place? Why is this setting important to the story?

The story The Stranger takes place in a town inside of france. The setting is important

because it sets a certain vibe to the book. Knowing the location of where this story unfolds paints

a picture in your head that makes it more interesting, It's give the a foreign feeling. That is why

the setting of the book is important to the story.
