An Alberta father facing nearly two dozen charges connected to the alleged sexual assault

of his three daughters is scheduled to appear in court Monday morning. The 41 year old
man whose name isn't being named for the protection of the victims is being sentenced at
the Evansburg, Alta., 107 km away from edmonton. The father is being charged of sexually
abusing his three daughters over a six year period, where the one daughter was sold for
sexual pleasure of strangers on multiple occasions. The fathers charges include five counts
of sexual assault, four counts of sexual exploitation, two counts of incest, two counts of
parent procuring child for sexual activity, and two counts of sexual assault with a weapon.
The father is also facing 17 firearms-related charges, police seized 40 resisted handguns
and rifles from his rural property during his arrest in november 2016. The investigation
started in october 2016 when a witness close to the family come forward to the police with
forth handed information that was very surreal. The girls lived at home with both parents
and two brothers were home-schooled and isolated from society, it is said that the mother
was also a victim of his crimes. On the day of the father arrest "it was as if a dark cloud had
been taken away and lifted from their lives," Camp said. Even though that the arrest may have
stopped the abuse the family has a lot they need to work through after what happened to them.
It goes to show that you always dont know what's going on behind closed doors, the police may
think that they have the crime in their town under control but its actually not. The father
displaces a sensizim mind set by using his power as a male power and discriminates his three
daughter and wife by sexually abusing them and selling his oldest daughter for the sexual
pleasures of strangers. From his actions he made them feel worthless and their only purpose in
life was to abide to the sexual needs of the man. People don't realize that the assailant of
horrible sex acts like human trafficking could be as close to you as your best friends dad, they're
not always strangers. Stuff like this happens all the time all over the world, no one seems to
care about this stuff happening till it's happened to someone they know or in their town.
