How to make sky lanterns You will need: 4 and o half meters of tissue paper Ruler © Scissors ‘Wire: one piece of about 100cm, two pieces of cbout 30cm and one piece of about 10cm © Clue or adhesive Napkin paper ~ Wax lighter ~ Patience Step! Cut 4 pieces of tissue paper each measuring 100x50cm (39.4x19,7in). Cut two triangles from the two: bottom corners, cach measuring | 5x50x52em (5.9x19.7x20.5in) with the 15cm (5.9in) side being the bottom one. Step 2 The half meter of remaining tissue paper needs to be a square, so adjust its dimensions to 50x50em. Now fold its diagonals one at a time and open it. You should now have « cross on top of your square. Cut the lines that you marked by folding. You now have 4 triangles. Step 3 Fireproof the tissue paper, (I usually skip this step, but you may want to be sure it doesn't burn until up in the air). Let it dry. Step 4 Make a little pocket (I would say somewhere around 3 cm/lin) at the bottom of each rectangle and glue it. This will be very useful when you uill have to attach the wire.5 Glue each triangle on top of a rectangle and then leave them to dry. Aiter they dried, glue one side of one shape 10 one side of another and leave to dry, Do the some with the remaining two, separately After they dried again, put the two new shapes one on top of the other and glue the remaining sides. You are now almost there. Step 6 Take some napkin paper and fold one. Heat wax in a pan. Soak the napkin paper in molten wax. Stain the extra wax. Fuel is ready. 7 Step 7 wire and make a little circle out of it. When the wire is almost in shape, insert one side of it through one pocket and work its way to the other end. Eventually, you will have a nice circle at the bottom of your lantern. Now take the two wires and make a cross out of them, then attach it to the circle, Toke the little remaining wire and put it on top of the cross, bending it so thal it won't fall Attach the fuel. Go outside and light it.
