This 30 day notice requirement was established so there is sufficient publicity and your members, who live scattered around the whole island, may have sufficient notice to be able to make arrangements to attend to the meeting. A key element in announcing an activity, especially if you want people to have sufcient notice to be able to attend is the LOCATION of the event. People can't prepare to go to an activity without knowing exactly where they are going to begin with. This problem can be particularly bad for people with physical disabilities who may need to make special arrangements to attend. ‘Three weeks before the activity is supposed to take place, and you've yet to announce a location. This lack of proper notice, combined with the suspicious timing of the date seems to me to be a voter suppression tactic. ‘While | appreciate that some of your e-board members might be unable to attend otherwise, | am sure that arrangements, can be made so the annual assembly can run smoothly without them. Chartering papers are not due tll July 10, 2017. A change of date would also allow for sufficient notice to be given about the election procedures. You still have a couple of more days to choose an apt date that will allow for this to be a successful activity and for your membership participate in it Regarding this and the publication of the election manual, | would like to point out to Section 1180(e) of the Charter and Bylaws of Young Democrats of America, which states that: Section 1150(e) Selection of Officers. The Young Democrats of America shall publicize fully and in such manner as to assure notice to all interested parties a full description of the practical procedures for selection of YDA Officers and Representatives on all levels. Publication of these procedures shall be done in such fashion that all prospective and current members of the YDA will be fully and adequately informed of the pertinent procedures in time to participate in each selection procedure at all levels of the Young Democrats of America. | expect this grievance to be taken seriously, and discussed in your next e-board meeting. | have, as before, forwarded Copy of this letter to the Southeast Region Director, | also must reinstate my request dates, minutes and attendance records of all the meetings since the last assembly, As per Article Mll, section 1, which states all records of the YDAPR/JDPR shall be available for inspection to any member of the YDAPR/JDPR upon request. As you well know, Ihave made this request twice before directly to you, and around four to five times to the previous president, having forwarded the request to you in your capacity as then vice-president, I have yet to receive the information | am entitled to by regulation, | await your response. ‘See you soon and God bless, psimal. google. comimailU02i=28ik- 5c aEbISASow= leg 15c5124NeaB6ta &qrMlissaBsoarch= quar simi=15c6 2H0aa8Aa3! 42 eriaot7 Grail-YOPR Gabriela M.
