P.O. Box 607
Aberdeen, MS 39730

Dear Aberdeen School Board,

As dedicated educators and advocates for student learning, we see the need to continue increasing academic
performance to get our students to the next level. In society today, it is essential that a platform is provided that
allows students to compete with others throughout the world. As teachers, we believe that we should expand our
current technology program to 1:M (many) in our schools. After observing surrounding districts that have
implemented this program, most of them have seen increases in the following categories:
Subject Area Testing
State Assessment Scores
Class Participation
Modeled Behavior
By adopting this program, we believe our schools will produce results of equivalence or higher than those of other
schools.

Another benefit of 1:M is that it decreases the need of paper for daily work, homework and weekly tests since they
will be uploaded digitally.

We come to address you with this issue after attending Global Academic Essential Teacher Institute (GAETI) this
past summer at MSU. The workshop provided knowledge on technology that was specifically designed for
enhancing student learning. Since we are knowledgeable of contents related to GAETI, we are willing to assist
with Professional Development as an initiative.

Sincerely,

7/8th Grade Science Teachers
