*I chose two articles to discuss because they are both covering the same topic, but they are
short with little information so I am combining the two*

Title: UWs Elementary Education Program Receives High Marks

Date: May 18, 2017

Title: UWs Elementary Education Program Ranked Among Nations Best

Date: May 15, 2017

Publisher: Unknown

Where: Wyoming

These two articles recognize the University of Wyomings elementary education

program and how it was recently ranked number six in the nation by College Choice. UW is

ranked number six, just behind Purdue University, Texas A&M University, Marshall University,

Louisiana Tech University, and the University of Texas-Arlington. The articles mention how

students who want to major in this field do not necessarily need to attend an expensive

$60,000 a year school in order to receive a high-quality education. UWs elementary education

program offers four different choices of concentrations, such as: environmental studies,

interdisciplinary early childhood, international education studies/American cultural diversity,

and creative arts. The articles also highlight the significance of the programs field experience

and how the students are assigned to master teachers in the district. The UW elementary

education program is being rewarded for its affordability as well as the reputation of the school

and their faculty as a whole.
