this success at the Academy Awards stems from one key component of this movie that

is rivaled by few movies. The plot was magnificent as it followed the pianist throughout

his struggle for survival based off real events.

The story takes place in a time where a lot of emotion is attached. World War II

affected the world in a sense. This drives deep feelings into the viewer throughout the

movie. The story takes a wild turn at the beginning when Poland is invaded by

Germany. This would kick-off the events that would occur constantly within the film.

The introduction of prejudice and hate towards Jews grows in throughout the movie best

shown as fellow Pols spot out the pianist in hiding after he escapes from the Nazis. It

dies down toward the end when the friendly German is introduced but still remains

intense at the same time.

The plotline to this film was well fashioned as well as exciting. Intensity was

around every corner. It puts just the right amount of action to keep the audience

entertained but not overwhelmed. It will have anyone on the edge of their seat for a

perfect drama. This is why The Pianist deserves its three Academy Awards.
