First time installation of STEP 7- Micro/WIN and S7-200 PC Access

Run the individual license installations for STEP 7- Micro/WIN V4.0 SP9 and
S7-200 PC Access V1.0 SP6.

Upgrading older versions of STEP 7- Micro/WIN and S7-200 PC Access

Determine which situation below applies to you and follow the instructions.

Only STEP 7- Micro/WIN is installed

Run the STEP 7- Micro/WIN V4.0 SP9 upgrade installation.

Only S7-200 PC Access is installed

Run the S7-200 PC Access V1.0 SP6 upgrade installation.

Both S7-200 PC Access and STEP 7- Micro/WIN are installed

You must upgrade both applications to the latest versions for correct operation.
1)Contact Siemens customer support and obtain access to both upgrade
installations from a Siemens FTP server.
2)Run either the STEP 7- Micro/WIN V4.0 SP9 upgrade or the S7-200 PC
Access V1.0 SP6 upgrade.
3)Uninstall STEP 7- Micro/WIN.
4)Uninstall S7-200 PC Access.
5)Run STEP 7- Micro/WIN V4.0 SP9 upgrade.
6)Run S7-200 PC Access V1.0 SP6 upgrade.

A previous version of only one application is installed and you want to

install the latest version of the other application
For example, an older version of the STEP7- Micro/WIN is installed and you want
the latest version of S7-200 PC Access. You must upgrade the old application to
the latest version and then install the latest individual license version for the new
application. Upgrading the old application is necessary for correct operation.
1)Contact Siemens customer support and obtain access to the upgrade
installation from a Siemens FTP server.
2)Run the upgrade installation for the existing installed application.
3)Run the individual license installation for the other application.
