 Personal Goals and Objectives
Goal 1: Understand and administer RT assessments
a. I will observe 3 assessments performed by the supervising RT within the first
month of my internship.
b. Under the supervision of an RT I will independently perform and document 3
assessments by the end of my internship.
Goal 2: Plan and implement interventions for IOP program
a. I will observe 2 weeks of IOP interventions performed by the RT within the first
month of my internship.
b. I will plan and implement 2 RT interventions for IOP on Wednesday group within
the first 2 months of my internship.
Goal 3: Write relevant and meaningful patient goals.
a. I will develop measurable patient goals for 3 new admits and track the data until
discharge or the end of my internship.
b. I will adjust patients goals based on improvement shown by data for 2 current
patients until discharge or the end of my internship.
Goal 4: Improve ability to plan and adapt group interventions to benefit patients
a. I will plan and implement 3 group treatments focused on following directions,
communication and self-esteem by the end of my internship.
b. Before and after group I will assess patients mood, coping skills, participation, and
social interaction with a developed self-assessment questionnaire. This data will
determine if there was improvement for patient goals and will be reported to the
supervising RT.
