Sipesclaimedthemethodsimplybuilttendonstrengthandthusallowedtheliftertosquatgreaterloads.Poliquin,however,believes
itheightenstheshutdownthresholdoftheGolgiTendonOrgan(GTO),whichisatension/stretchreceptorlocatedinthetendon.

AccordingtoPoliquin,"TheGTOinhibitoryeffectcanbeseenwhentwopeopleofunequalstrengtharmwrestle.Astheweaker
personloses,itlookslikehe'ssuddenlyquittingandgetshiswristslammedtothetopofthetable.What'sreallyhappeningisthat
