PURCHASE OF BILGE FLOATER SWITCH

Reference: The Commander Eastern Naval Areas letter No. ENA/APO/FO/SPD/2017/1212

dated 12 Jun 17.

1. The Technical Evaluation Committee (TEC) appointed vide above referred letter convened at
SLN Dockyard and evaluated the quotation received from following suppliers.

a.. M/S UK (Pvt) Ltd

b. M/S ACE Motors
c. M/S Vacker (Pvt) Ltd

Observations

2. The committee made following observations,

a. The requirement of floater switches have been initiated by CLD (E) for the use of
electrical maintenance of AUX ships/craft in ENA.

b. Competitive quotations have been invited and only suppliers mentioned in above para 1
have responded.

c. M/S ACE Motors Pvt Ltd has quoted lowest at unit price of Rs.7,995.00 (Excl. of VAT) .
Specifications by the bidder do comply with SLN requirement. Last purchase price of same item
is Rs.7,500.00 (Excl. of VAT) in year 2016. Hence the quoted unit price is reasonable.

d. The requirement is still existing and urgently required as no stock held at stores to use for
corrective maintenance.

Recommendations

3. Considering above observations, Technical Evaluation Committee recommends to purchase 20

Nos. of Bilge Floater Switch (RULE, 40 A Current Rating) from M/S ACE Motors (Pvt) Ltd at a total
cost of Rs. 159,900.00 (Excl. of Taxes).

4. The file No. ENA/APO/FO/SPD/2017/1212 is forwarded here with for necessary action.
5. Request confirm receipt.
