Memorandum of Understant Between La Asociacién Nacional de Estudiantes de Ingenieria Mecanica, Mecatrénica, Eléctrica, y Ramas Afines (ANEIMERA) and The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) ‘The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and La Asociaci6n Nacional de Estudiantes de Ingenieria, Mecénica, Mecatronica, Eléctrica, y Ramas Afines (ANEIMERA) is to establish a long-term cooperative framework to carry out activities in the following areas: Promotion of Student Membership, engineering Activities including but not limited to Student Contests and Competitions; Student and Early Career Publications; Student Technical Activities, Conferences, Mentoring, Professional Development, and Professional Society membership ASME will endeavor to: = Apply a discounted membership rate of $12 per Student to all Student Membership applications collected, reviewed and submitted by ANEIMERA members + Designate a local agent to facilitate collections and payments in Peru. * Consider ANEIMERA as a national partner when organizing ASME Student activities in Peru such as: Conferences, Contests and Competitions as appropriate * Share appropriate technical and career information with ANEIMERA for dissemination + Explore opportunities for professional development and training programs, which shall be co-organized by both societies, and be operated under the terms of separate agreements and working protocols; ANEIMERA will endeavor to: * Promote ASME student membership to its member Universities and Students * Collect, review and submit ASME Student Applications in Peru + Remit dues and applications to ASME and its agents in Peru. = Identity individual(s) to act as a liaison between ASME Student (name of Unit) and ASME, and act as the main point of contact for ASME in Peru to: © Communicate ASME related information and activities among Universities and Students in Peru © Coordinate Peruvian participation in ASME Student activities = Collaborate with ASME and its agents to organize extension activities in Peru including, but not limited to: Conferences, contests, Competitions, + Explore opportunities to collaborate with ASME to organize professional development and training programs which shall be co-organized by both societies, and be operated under the terms of separate agreements and working protocols; This MOU is not a commitment of resources. Any resource commitment will be negotiated, documented, and agreed separately in advance of the expenditure. Both parties will make efforts to comply with this MOU unless such compliance is in direct conflict with the laws, regulations, or stated government policy of either party's country.
