1.

Click on Administrator tab followed by selecting Export Database

2. On the window that opens browse to a folder path where the database is to be saved. Then
click on All devices and all data. Finally click on the Export button to begin backing up the
existing database and data.

3. A warning window opens to notify the user that this step may take a long time. Click on yes
to confirm the backup.

4. A new window will open showing the backup progress.

5. If there are a lot of devices and a lot of records this step could take up to an hour to
complete. Once completed a new file with extension .cdb will be created as shown below.
This file contains all database configurations and data.

6. To import this data back into iQ+ we select the Administration tab again and this time click
on Import database

7. On the window that opens click on the browse button to select the previously backed up
.cdb file then highlight all the devices in the Device Topology window and finally click on
the Import button to begin the import process.
