ABSTRACT
Background:
Breast cancer in South Kalimantan reached 0.7% ( 1,328 people). Breast cancer
management is done with a series of treatment, including chemotherapy. The
chemotherapy has an effect on the body during the treatment process take place,
one of which is the weight loss. Weight loss on patients with cancer were
significantly signifies a poor prognosis for the patients.
Purpose:
To analyze the effects of chemotherapy on weight loss, before chemotherapy and
third frequency chemotherapy on patients with breast cancer
Methods:
This study using a design of pre-experimental design with one group pretest-
posttest. A research technique used in this research is accidental sampling with total
sample of 31 samples. The data collected by using observation sheet which is then
analyzed using paired T-test with p <0.05.
Results:
The average weight total respondents totaling 31 respondents before the date of
chemotherapy was 58.65 kg, at third frequency of chemotherapy was 51.90 kg.
Results of Paired T-Test showed the value of p = 0.000, the value is statistically
significant p value < (0.05), it can be stated there is effect of chemotherapy on
body weight between before the chemotherapy with a third frequency of
chemotherapy in breast cancer patients at Edelweiss Room Ulin General Hospital
Banjarmasin
Conclusions:
The results of the analysis showed that there is effect of chemotherapy on the
frequency of weight loss in breast cancer patients post of chemotherapy in Ulin
General Hospital Banjarmasin

ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang:
Kanker payudara di Kalimantan Selatan mencapai 0,7% (1.328 orang).
Penatalaksanaan kanker payudara dilakukan dengan serangkaian pengobatan, yang
termasuk didalamnya kemoterapi. Kemoterapi memiliki efek pada tubuh selama
proses pengobatan berlangsung, yang salah satunya yaitu terjadinya penurunan
berat badan. Hilangnya berat badan pada pasien dengan kanker secara signifikan
menandakan prognosis yang buruk terhadap pasien.
Tujuan:
Menganalisa pengaruh kemoterapi terhadap penurunan berat badan, sebelum
kemoterapi dan frekuensi ketiga kemoterapi yang terjadi pada pasien dengan kanker
payudara
Metode:
Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan pra eksperimen dengan desain one grup
pretest-posttest. Teknik penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah
accidental sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 31 sampel. Data dikumpul
dengan menggunakan lembar observasi yang kemudian dianalisa menggunakan
Paired T-Test dengan nilai p<0,05.
Hasil:
Rata-rata berat badan keseluruhan responden yang berjumlah 31 responden
sebelum dilakukannya kemoterapi adalah 58,65 kg, pada frekuensi ketiga
kemoterapi adalah 51,90 kg. Hasil uji Paired T-Test menunjukan nilai p = 0,000,
nilai tersebut secara statistik bermakna nilai p < (0,05), maka dapat dinyatakan
ada pengaruh kemoterapi terhadap penurunan berat badan antara sebelum
kemoterapi dengan frekuensi ketiga kemoterapi pada pasien kanker payudara di
Ruang Edelweiss RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin.
Simpulan :
Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh frekuensi kemoterapi terhadap
penurunan berat badan pada pasien kanker payudara post kemoterapi di RSUD Ulin
Banjarmasin
