Responsible for the plant availability to ensure the minimum disruption to production in order to
achieve production plan by maintaining the equipment in running conditions giving optimal
performance.

Initiates, plans and implements operations excellence projects to bring efficiency into plant
operations.

Manages the calibration of all measuring equipments at the plant.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Preventive Maintenance

Designs and implements the preventive maintenance program to avoid any major/minor breakdown
before happening. It includes:
Develops the yearly calendar for the preventive maintenance.
Supervise the implementation of monthly preventive maintenance schedule.
Ensures that all preventive maintenance data is uploaded into the history card and the online
preventive maintenance system.
Reviews the preventive maintenance plan for any new/old equipment.
Ensures that the maintenance team follows all safety regulations to carry out their work safely.
Corrective Maintenance
Responsible to bring any failed equipment back to operations within minimum downtime and optimal
costs to resume production. It includes:
Supervise the operations of corrective maintenance.
Advises the maintenance team to carry out repair work as per best engineering practices for
earliest resumption of production lines.
Ensures that required resources are available for required maintenance Ensures that the team
follows all health & safety regulations to carry out their work safely.

Spare Parts Inventory

Responsible to maintain sufficient inventory of spare parts from local and overseas suppliers
required to maintain plant equipment. Including:
 Determines the spare parts requirements/budget for the plant on yearly basis.
Establishes contacts with suppliers to develop vendors for the required spare parts.
Explore local partners to be able to fabricate spare parts whenever required, keeping in view the
objective of cost reduction.
Determines and maintains the inventory levels for the required spare parts. Ensures that the spare
parts inventory variance is kept to minimum.

Operations Excellence Projects

Actively participates in the operations excellence program to bring efficiency into plant operations. It
includes:
Identifies/conceptualizes the operations excellence projects.
Develops scope of the projects and supervises the implementation through maintenance team.
Hands over the projects to production after successful trials.
Drives OEE improvements for the plant. Manages the shoplogix operations including
maintenance, system development & modification and trouble shooting.

Utilities Operations
Manages all the utility equipment operations to ensure uninterrupted supplies for continued
operations. It includes:
Develops scope of the third party maintenance contracts for the identified utilities.
Explores suitable third party maintenance contractors and assist procurement sign the deal.
Supervise the maintenance/operations of utilities for continued production.
Calibration
Manage all the equipment calibration at the plant to ensure all measuring devices are up-to-date.
Identifies the equipments to be calibrated. Assigns and supervises the calibration tasks to the
maintenance team or outsource.

10 years of working in maintenance role including 5 years as supervisor.

Education
Bachelors in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical).
