My first wish for the year is that
everyone had a very Merry Christmas

and a Happy New Year and that
everyone is well and happy. We are
Junior club members going to have a great year this year
meet separately after and there are a lot of good Ideas
opening coming forward for the club. We
announcements. have some great trips planned so get
ready to have some fun.
Visitors are welcome. We, the officers, have decided to
put the Saturday after our club
Annual Club meeting as our outing day. This does

in stone (no pun intended) so if you

officers and let us know and we can
work it in. Some of the places that
we have talked about are Wendover,
Topaz, Moab, Jackpot, Hanksville,
and Just around the valley. Again this
is still open so if you have some
suggestions, please get with one of
the officers and talk to them about it.

Club Annual Show

We did have an officers meeting on
Wednesday the 30th of December and
have come up with names that we would
like to ask for help in filling positions in the
club. Do not feel that if you are asked to
hold a position that you have to accept it,
but as our club gets bigger and bigger, we
do need people to help us with all the
activities that we plan for the club. If you
have a job that you would feel like talking
on, please talk to me or one of the officers
so we can get you busy.
Make sure to check out the rest of the
newsletter for upcoming trips and events.
We are already starting on the club show
for May and we are going to need a lot of
help with this. We have about the same
amount of vendors coming, but
Bridgerland has done some remodeling so
our space has been cut down and it is
going to take a little more effort to
accommodate everyone. We will also
need to have people that can come and
help with the Wheel and Grab bags and
help in the Snack Bar so please start to
think about this and let me know where
you are willing to help. The Club Rock
Show is on May 5th, 6th and 7th, with set up
on Wednesday the 4th of May.
We are meeting this month on January
14th at the Summit Elementary School and
will be presenting our plans for the year.
Well, enough said for now and hope to see
all of you at our club meeting on the 14th .

The Cache Rock and Gem annual show has
become an anticipated community spring event.
In order for it to be a continued success we
need to secure door prizes, items to be raffled,
polished and other rocks for grab bags as well as
school tour guides, demonstrators and security.
As a member, your participation helps in keeping
your club viable.

2016 Holiday Dinner

Okay, I admit it, I fell down on the job. I was too busy
enjoying good company and being distracted by my darling
grand daughter and fabulous son and husband that I neglected
to get photos from our holiday dinner.
I can tell you that we had quite the turn out even though we
had to change venues late in the game. Who knew the Golden
Corral, our holiday staple, was going to shut their doors?
Thank the holiday spirits that be, Chuck-A-Rama had room
for our crowd at such a late date. The food was good and we
got an area we could close off so we could raise a good candy
cane ruckus without disturbing their other guests.
Gifts galore kept changing hands as Sally Warren kept them
and us going at dosey-doe pace with a rhyming holiday ditty.
Where she comes up with these things, I dont know but they
work and are a lot of fun. No one ever walks away feeling Bah!
