PabloNeruda

Born Ricardo Eliecer Neftal Reyes Basoalto in the town of Parral in southern

Chile on July 12, 1904, Pablo Neruda legal name of the Chilean poetdiplomat and

politician In 1923 sold all of his possessions to finance the publication of his first

book,Crepusculario.ThebookmadeacelebrityofNeruda,whogaveuphisstudiesat

theageoftwentytodevotehimselftohiscraft.TheChileanpoetisfamousforbothhis

passionatelovepoemsandcommunistviews.Chile'sPabloNerudaFoundationhasfound

morethan20previouslyunknownpoemsbytheNobelPrizewinner.Theywerefound

whilecataloguingsomeofthepoet'smanuscriptsandexpertshaveverifiedthemasbeing

genuine. Six relate to the theme of love and the others have different themes which

published on the 110th anniversary of his birth and the 90th anniversary of the

publicationofTwentyLovePoemsandaSongofDespair.Nerudassensitivelovepoetry

withoutknowingabouthislifemaybesurprisedtolearnthemoresordidpartsofthe

poetshistorywithwomentheabandonments,betrayals,andcallousdoublestandards.

23September1973, justtwelvedaysafterthedefeatofChilesdemocraticregime,the

manwidelyregardedasthegreatestLatinAmericanpoetsinceDarodiedinSantiago,

amidpressreportsthatNerudamightnothavediedofcancer.Nearly40yearshave

passedsinceNerudadiedandhisorgansandsofttissuehavelongsincedecomposed.Mr

soul.Therefore,simplicityofthispoemandtheexperienceofembracingcanbeing

embraceddescribesthecreativity,oncepassionandcalling.Ifoundthispoemhaskindof
