Seniors Only - $1,000 Student must take a visual art class in college. One Drawing, One color and design, One three-dimensional artwork (sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, crafts, Three additional artworks of the applicants choice, (all artwork labeled on the back). Letter of Recommendation and Student Autobiography. You must also attend the GAEA 2016 Fall Conference. *Artworks entered in the Helen Fleming Stone portfolio may NOT be submitted into the pushpin exhibit or the GAEA NAHS portfolio.

Scholarship:
The
judges
will
select
2D
artwork
from
the
pushpin
exhibit
that
they
consider
to
be
superior.
The
artwork
will
be
selected
from
all
2D
pieces
entered
in
the
pushpin
exhibit.

3D
Art
Scholarship:
The
judges
will
select
3D
artwork
from
the
pushpin
exhibit
that
they
consider
to
be

Scholarship
Criteria
for
Submitting
to
the
Helen
Fleming
Stone
Art
Scholarship
1.
The
student
shall
be
a
member
of
a
National
Art
Honor
Society
who
will
graduate
from
high
in
the
current
school
year.
2.
The
student
shall
submit
a
portfolio
containing
six
original
artworks
(no
copies
from
any
source).

One
drawing
b.
One
color
and
design
c.
One
three-dimensional
artwork
(sculpture,
ceramics,
jewelry,
crafts)
d.
Three
additional
artworks
of
the
applicants
choice.
*NOTE-Original
photographic
art
or
original
computer
art
are
exempted.
There
shall
be
no
slides,
photographs,
or
computer
generated
images
of
the
artwork
submitted
in
the
portfolio.
3.
The
student
shall
submit:
a.
An
autobiography
of
one
page
only,
doubles
spaced
(12
font
size)
including
the
students
interest
and
involvement
in
the
visual
arts.
b.
A
recommendation
from
his/her
art
teacher
of
no
more
than
one
page,
double-spaced
(font
12
size).
4.
The
student
shall:
a.
Participate
in
the
NAHS
State
Conference
including
the
concluding
general
meeting
at
which
the
recipient
will
be
announced
.
b.
Attend
the
Awards
presentations
of
the
Georgia
Art
Education
Association
Fall
conference
at
which
time
the
scholarship
will
be
presented
to
the
recipient.
5.
The
student
shall
take
a
minimum
of
one
visual
art
course
in
the
college/university
(a
certificate
of
meeting
or
having
met
this
requirement
must
be
provided.)
6.
The
Georgia
Art
Education
Association
shall
provide
the
Stone
family
an
annual
report
of
the
Helen
Fleming
Stone
Art
Scholarship.
Administration
of
the
Helen
Fleming
Stone
Scholarship
The
Helen
Fleming
Stone
Art
Scholarship
shall
be
administered,
in
cooperation
with
the
Stone
family,
through
the
Georgia
Art
Education
Association
from
which
the
interest/profits
of
the
scholarship
funds
will
be
given
annually
to
a
graduating
National
Art
Honor
Society
high
school
senior.
