Abstract
Indian Education system is one of the largest in the world, offering a variety of courses at all
levels , from basic education to post-doctoral research. Traditional view of education, where
teachers serve as ultimate source of all knowledge, while learners serve as passive receivers, is
a thing of gone off days . In this regard information and communication technology provides
various powerful equipments and facilities which make process more interactive, learning
environment congenial.

It is well-known that information and communication technology has rapidly changed lives,
reshaped the nature of everyday activities and present age could be defined as age of
information or information age. A mobile device (tablet pc, cellular phones, smart phones etc.)
plays a vital role in knowledge transfer. Among various mode of education, on-line learning in
India has become the need of hour. Today anyone learns anywhere at any point of time. In
present scenario, e-learning is getting replaced by mobile learning (M-learning) which is the
new sensation in knowledge transportation. M-learning is convenient in the sense that it is
accessible from anywhere, which provides access to all learning material. M-learning is an idea
that a learner can quench his/her thirsts for any kind of information and knowledge
immediately via portable devices and even teachers could enhance their skills and knowledge.
But the prime focus of the paper is the section of society that is visually-impaired and hearing
impaired who could not access the stores of knowledge in traditional ways.
