Lost Faith

Afore thy noble crusade, somewhither a divine place

Fear not to me my love, I will never fail
For God is with him, I will give myself to thee
Thy vow was pure forsooth, my love will never betray me.

Eftsoons of years of war and horror

His way was blocked by the three beasts he cannot evade;
He came hearing a cry of grief and sorrow
Fear not to me my love, for I died as a symbol of divine
love

The devil appeared taking my soul as a meed

For thy betrayed me, withal I cast thy love to hell
Guided by the shade of Virgil, seeking such woe in hell
Why lost all faith in God? Abandon all hope, ye who enter
hell

Pains can thy noble mind abrook,

For you forsake thy true avouch, you cozen my trust
And your faith was lost concealed with darkness
Both our love was turn into madness.
