Im an Agatha Christies fan since I was a teenager.

She was (and she still is) an important part

of my current love for books.

Agatha was born as Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie, in Devon, Inglaterra, in January 12, 1890.
She is known as Queen/Lady of crime, because her books are about murder and several
different ways to kill. Poison, drown or shoot someone are some of her alternatives to make a
crime. In accord of Guinness Book she is one of the most successful writers in the world. Just
the Bible and Shakespeare sold more books than her. Agatha has published more than 80
books.

Her first marriage was very turbulent. When her husband told he was in love with other
woman, Agatha left their home and disappeared for 11 days. Actually, she wasnt dead or
kidnapped: Agatha was hosted in a hotel as Teresa Neele, not as Agatha Christie.

She married again with Max Mallowan, an archaeologist. Because of that, many stories of her
happened in Egypt, Mesopotamia and other countries in Orient.

Some of Agathas stories turned movies and TV series such as Assassinato no Expresso do
Oriente, O caso dos Dez Negrinhos (E no sobrou nenhum) and Morte no Nilo. Her main
dectives was Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. She was named as Dame of British Empire by
the Queen .

She died in 1976, but she is still a great influencer of many readers all around the worl,
including me.
