Navigation, maritime traffic of both ‘Thal and foreign flag vessels as well as increasing in number of towing vessels in Sriracha area, Koh Si Chang area and Laemchabang Port. So, itis necessary to define these areas to be the traffic control areas. Ship Reporting is mandatory for the safety of navigation, protection of life and property. By virtue of the provisions of section 17, section 18, section 20 and section 21 of the Navigation in Thai Water Acts, B.£. 2456 (1913) as amended by the Navigation in Thai Water Acts (No.13) B.£.2525 (1982) and (No.15), B.£. 2540 (1997) and the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 as amended, Chapter V Regulation 12 Vessel Traffic Services (VTS). Be it announced by Marine Department of Thailand, as follows: Section 1.This announcement shall be called “Marine Department Announcement -NO..A°%..u. / 2560Subject : Vessel Traffic Control and Maritime Security Office — VHF radio reporting system” Section 2.This announcement shall come into force as from the day following the date of its publication in the Government Gazette: Z Section 3. The call sign for radio communication of SRIRACHA Vessel Traffic Service Center under Vessel Traffic Control and Maritime Security Office shall be “SRIRACHA VTS" Section 4.The following types of vessel is mandatory to report: (A) All foreign vessels. (2) Vessels of 60 GT and over. (3) Towing vessels engaged in towing of 50 m or more in length, Section 5. The reporting areas, bounded by the following lines: (1) SRIRACHA APPROACH sector (SRA) North reporting line: Along Lat. 13° 20' 00 N from coast to the west until Long. 100° 30° 00" E ‘South reporting line: Along Lat. 12° 30° 00" N between Long. 100° 30' 00° E and Long. 10100" 00" E East reporting line: Along Long. 10100’ 00" E from coast to the south until Lat. 12° 30° 00" N West reporting line: Along Long. 100° 30° 00” E between Lat.13° 20’ 00” North and Lat. 12° 30' 00" N (2) SRIRACHA PORT../-2- ee (2) SRIRACHA PORT LIMIT sector (SPL) North reporting line: Along Lat. 13° 13! 00" N from coast to the west until Long. 100° 48° 00” E ‘South reporting line: Along Lat. 13° 00' 00" N from coast tothe west until Long. 100° 45°00" E ‘West reporting line: Along Long. 100 45' 00" E between Lat. 13° 12100" North and Lat. 13° 00' 00" N Section 6.Radio Communication Channel (1) SRIRACHA APPROACH sector : VHF Channel 71 (frequency 156.575 MHz.) Any master or controller of a vessel who violates or fails to comply with this notification under Section 24 of the Navigation in Thai Water Acts, B.£. 2456 (1913) as amended by the Navigation in Thai Water Acts (No.14), B.£. 2535 (1992) shall be liable to a fine of five hundred Baht to five thousand Baht. \§ Issued on B.E. 2560 (2017) §.
