I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Mr. Ervin Michael B. Cavalida, CPA for
the position of Assurance Associate at SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co. As the Municipal Mayor, I
have known Mr. Cavalida for the longest time and I practically witnessed him grow. Likewise, I
observed his keen knowledge to your profession when he volunteered as one of the resource
speaker for the ENACTUS program of the University of San Carlos helping the different peoples
organizations of the municipality.

The different peoples organizations (POs) are composed of communities wherein agricultural
aides are given by the different private and government organizations. With the amount of
aides from these groups the POs were experiencing difficulty in tracking its accounts and
settling their tax requirements, however with the inputs of Mr. Cavalida, they have now
developed a more effective recording for reportorial requirements. That being said, this shows
how he, together with his professional growth, coordinate with other member of the firm to
help your clients effectively.

As the Local Chief Executive of the Municipality, I also would like to say that his academic
credentials would never be doubted. He graduated as Summa Cum Laude of the University of
San Carlos and placed 5th in the recent CPA board exam. Thus, making him a true asset to your
company.

For the above reasons, I think Mr. Cavalida will make a good addition to the firm. Not only does
he have the knowledge but he is also driven to work. That being all said, I vouch for his
character.
