Family Ministry Conference July 7-9 Report & Slide Show
Many thanks to Jesus, the Manahan family, Tran family, SFC, speakers, dancers and service
team for the excellent CFC KFC sponsored Family Ministry Conference. The 9 families from
Seattle, Eastern Washington, Boise and Oregon really bonded! The talks were great, and there
were talks for all ages. We hope to have 2-3 of the talks done locally at an Assembly, or a
special event we will call Family Ministry Echo talks, so stay tuned!
For next year, we would like to consider:
Rotating the event to the location of the host service team.
It was a 3.5 hour drive to Ghormley Christian Camp, and its a 3 hour drive to
Seattle or Eastern Washington.
Boise is too small to expect them to host one.
Maybe we can host it at St. Anthony Tigard
Beware of their VBS schedule
Probably August, as we have to wait for National to release materials
Maybe we can swap ANCOP Walk & Picnic 2018 August for July
Other venues could be colleges,

ANCOP Walk
Walkers should find sponsors. See website about how: http://ancopusawalk.org
The normal goal for a walker is to raise $200. Children raise $50
(easy for kids to raise it, just email relatives)
(easy for adults, just email all those people who asked you to buy cookies,
magazines etc. for their school fundraisers)
We dont buy T-shirts due to their expense, and desire to contribute more to the
children were sponsoring out of Oregon.
Walk starts at 8am with Zumba, 9am walk.
Walk takes place at Sherwood Middle School 21970 SW Sherwood Blvd Sherwood.

2
ANCOP Priest-Pontificio Collegio
We are also commited to sponsor $1,000 this year towards hosting 1 priest to attend 1
year at Pontificio Collegio Romano, so please take up whatever HH or Ministry collection you
can. Each HH / Ministry is in charge of collecting $200 from now through June 2018.
Thank you in advance! This builds leader priests to serve the Philippines.
Heiko to email Pia about more details, as FilAm and other Filipino groups also want to help
sponsor this priest (it costs $10,000 per year for the priests lodging and tuition to get an
advanced degree in Rome).
