Learning resource is all references instrument which useful in learning.

Actually not all medical students


have the ability to find learning resource easily. The main cause of this research is identifying learning
resource in self-directed learning for medical students.

To identify learning resources in self-directed learning for medical students.

A qualitative study with interview technique. There are 12 ordinary informants and 1 as key informant.
Analysis data is using the theory of Miles and Huberman through 3 steps : data reduction, data
presentation, conclusion

a. Learning resources in self-directed learning for medical students are medical textbook, journal,
internet, e-book, lecture, ask a friend. Ask a friend is one of unique learning resource which
practice by students.
b. Some strategies to get learning resource are buy medical books, borrow a book in library or
other counterpart, and sharing with senior
The important of learning resource for medical students because medical knowledge will
applied to patient, so it need many reliable resources. For short term, students can improve
index of achievement while preparing for clinical practice

Medical students get alternative learning resource from kind of learning resources and strategy to get
learning resource so it can improve the quality of medical knowledge also index of achievement
