For my leadership clinical rotation at Ryder Trauma Center, I have selected the following four
(4) behavioral objectives:
Psychomotor:
1. Given a patient who needs labs drawn, I will successfully insert the needle into the vein
on the first attempt.
2. Perform all learned nursing skills (including medication administration) safely and
therapeutically under supervision of preceptor with progressive ability.
Affective:
3. Exhibit emotional support to patients using therapeutic communication.
Cognitive:
4. Given all necessary equipment, when asked by nurse preceptor or other trauma staff, I
will demonstrate knowledge of proper sterile technique for tracheostomy care with
100% accuracy.
