On receipt of your State Bank Debit Card and user guide,
please sign on the signature panel on the reverse side of the
Card immediately.
- You will be given/receiving your Personal Identification
Number (PIN) from your branch. On receipt of your PIN, you
need to complete one successful transaction at any State
Bank ATM using your PIN to activate your Card for purchase
transactions i.e., to use it at merchant establishments and also
touse itfor e-commerce i.e., for making paymentonline.
- Please change the 4-Digit PIN as soon as possible and at
periodic intervals for security reasons. Please do not carry the
PIN or write it anywhere. It is recommended that you
memorise the PIN.
- Your State Bank Debit Card can be used at shopping outlets
and over the Internet for making purchases, including travel
bookings and payment of utility bills etc. (but only after
activation of the Card at State Bank ATM).
- Always remember to update your email and mobile number
details with the Bank to get important updates and alerts.

Lost Card Reporting:
Please keep a separate note of your Card number and associated
account number in a place readily accessible. You should
immediately notify the State Bank Contact Centre regarding the
loss of the Card at toll free number 1800-11-22-11 or 1800-425-
3800 or at ISD/STD number +91-80-26599990. The Call Centre
will ask for some information about you to authenticate your
identity. Please obtain the Ticket Number from the Contact Centre
after lodging your request to block the Card.
The Card can also be blocked by
+ By sending SMS BLOCKXXXxX to 567676 from your
registered mobile number only (XXXX is the last 4 digits of the
State Bank Debit Card you wish to block). On acceptance of
the request for blocking, you will get a confirmatory SMS alert
with ticket number, date and time of blocking.+ Through Internet Banking: If you are using Internet Banking
service, then please follow the following steps to block your
State Bank Debit Card:
Step1 Login to www.onlinesbi.com with your username and
password.
Step2 Select “Block ATM Card” link under the “E-Services”
tab.
Step3 Select the Account under which you want to block your
Debit Card.
Step4 All the active and blocked cards will be displayed. Only
first 4 digits and last 4 digits of the Card(s) will be
shown.
Step5 Select the card you wish to block and click “Submit”.
Verify the details and confirm.
Step6 Select the mode of authentication as either SMS OTP
or Profile Password.
Step7 Onthe next screen, enter the OTP/Profile Password as
chosen earlier and click “Confirm”.
Step8 Asuccess message would be displayed with a Ticket
No. after successful blocking of your Debit Card. Note
this ticket number for future reference.
+ By visiting any State Bank Branch and submitting a written
request for Blocking the Card.
Please Note:
* Cards once blocked can only be unblocked submitting a
written request for at the home Branch.
* The Bank will not be liable for any financial loss arising out of
unauthorised use of the Card (till the Card is hot-listed).
Replacement of the Card
You just need to write to your Branch regarding loss of the Card
along with the date of reporting loss and ticket number from the
State Bank Contact Centre, requesting for replacement of the
Card. On receipt of the request, the Branch will arrange to issue a
new Card against the lost Card, at a nominal fee of Rs. 200 +
service tax.
Using your State Bank Debit Card
Activate Your State Bank Debit Card:
For security reasons, your Card is currently inactive for purchase
transactions. In order to activate your Card, you need to complete
one successful transaction at any State Bank ATM using
your PIN.
Using your State Bank Debit Card at Merchant
Establishments
Step1 Presentyour Card to the shopkeeper.
Step2 The shopkeeper will swipe your Card at PoS/EDC
(Card Acceptance) terminal.
Step3 The terminal will prompt you to enter the PIN (depends
on the terminal type).
Step4 Please enter your PIN (same as the one used atATMs).
Please ensure you cover the PIN pad with your hand
while entering the PIN to ensure confidentiality.Step5 Sign onthe charge slip only after confirming the amount
and details on the slip with the bill.
Step6 The transaction is now complete. You will be handed
over a copy of the charge slip and your Card, by the
shop keeper.
Your State Bank Debit Card over the Internet
Your State Bank Debit Card can be used online for shopping,
booking railway or air tickets, paying bills or for enjoying movies
with your family. All this is just a few clicks away at your
convenience. What's more, your State Bank Debit Card is
enabled for online usage with “Verified by Visa’/“MasterCard
Secure Code’/“Rupay — PaySecure” (as applicable based on the
Card scheme), providing you additional security of a password
known only to you for completing online purchase.
Step 1 Go to your preferred website.
Step 2 After selecting the goods and services desired, or bills
you wish to pay, go to the payment page.
Step3 Enter your State Debit Debit Card number,
CVC/CVDICVV, Expiry Date of the Card, Name
appearing on the face of the Card and the online store
will check whether your Card is secured with “Verified by
Visa’/ “MasterCard Secure Code’/“Rupay—PaySecure”
(as applicable based on the Card scheme).
Step4 (i) Ifyou are not registered, you will be asked to register
for “Verified by Visa’/ “MasterCard Secure
Code"/“Rupay —PaySecure” (as applicable based on
the Card scheme). After the creation of your
password, you can continue with the transaction.
(ii) If you are already registered, an SBI “Verified by
Visa"/ “MasterCard Secure Code’/“Rupay —
PaySecure” (as applicable based on the Card
scheme) pop-up window will appear on your
computer screen that includes your Personal
Message. Look forandconfirmyourPersonal
Message, then enter your password. On the
confirmation, transaction is now complete.

Please note that your mobile number needs to be registered
with the Bank for using the Debit Card over the Internet.
Using your State Bank Debit Card for cash withdrawals from
ATMs
Enjoy the convenience of using your State Bank Debit Card for
withdrawing cash from State Bank Group ATMs or other ATMs in
India and worldwide (conditions apply).
Step 1 Please insert your Card in the slot provided.
Step 2 Select language (if option is available)Step3 Enter your PIN. Please take care to key in the correct
PIN. If the wrong PIN is entered thrice, the Card will be
invalidated for the rest of the day.
Step4 Select your transaction. At this stage, options will
appear on the screen and you can choose the
appropriate option amongst Fast Cash, Cash
Withdrawal, PIN Change and Mini Statement.
Step5 Incase of Cash Withdrawal, enter the amount you wish
towithdraw.
Step6 You will receive cash after the transaction is processed
which is to be collected immediately.
Note:
(i) Generally ATMs can dispense 40 currency notes per
withdrawal at a time). In case the amount you seek to
withdraw is greater than the dispensing limit of the number of
currency notes, you may do multiple transactions up to the
overall daily limit.
(ii) You can use your State Bank Debit Card at ATMs of other
Banks in India (conditions apply).
(iii) Use the same PIN as you do at State Bank Group ATMs.
Some ATMs may request you to select the account type i.e.
Savings or Current. For all transactions performed at ATM
networks, the Primary Account linked to your Card will be
accessed.
Using your State Bank Debit Card for changing PIN at State
BankATMs
On receiving your State Bank Debit Card PIN, itis suggested tha
you should change the PIN immediately and also change the PIN
at periodic intervals.
Step 1 Please insert your Card in the slot provided.
Step 2 Select language (if option available).
Step3 EnteryourPIN. Please take careto key in the correct
PIN. Ifwrong PIN is entered thrice, the Card will be
invalidated for the rest of the day.
Step4 Select your transactions. At this stage, options wil
appearonthe screen. Please choose PIN Change
option and enter the new 4 digit PIN twice for your Debi
Card.

Looking after your State Bank Debit Card
Your State Bank Debit Card is available as a magnetic stripe
Card. The black magnetic stripe on the back of your Cardcontains important information about your Card and needs
careful handling.
+ Avoid scratching the magnetic stripe
+ Do not place two Cards with the magnetic stripes together.
+ Do not bend the Debit Card.
+ Keep your Debit Card away from heat and direct sunlight.
+ Avoid exposing your Debit Card to dust, moisture or
traviolet rays to protect your Card.
How to protect your State Bank Debit Card?
Your State Bank Debit Card can be protected and used
responsibly by following a few simple steps:
+ After receiving your Debit Card, please sign immediately on
the signature panel on the reverse of your Debit Card to
prevent any misuse.

in your presence..
+ Collect your receipt and charge slip after every purchase, and
check the same.
+ Please also ensure that you get back your own Debit Card
after every transaction at merchant establishments.
+ Ifthe Debit Cardis lost or stolen, report the loss immediately to
the Bank.
How to protect your PIN?
Your State Bank Debit Card PIN can be protected and used
responsibly by following a few simple steps:
+ Please change your PIN as soon as you receive the Debit
Card and also do so at periodic intervals
+ Memorise the PIN and destroy the PIN mailer.
+ Do not write the PIN on the Card or anywhere else or divulge
the number to anyone
+ If you have reasons to suspect that someone may have
accessed your PIN, change your PIN at any State Bank ATM
immediately.

Terms & Conditions:
(i) Definitions
Bank: State Bank of India and its Associate Banks.
Card: State Bank Debit Card, issued to the customer by State
Bank Group.
Cardholder: A customer who has been issued a State Bank
Debit Card.
ATM: All ATMs of the State Bank Group as well as ATMs of other
banks.
State Bank Group ATMs: All ATMs of State Bank of India and its
Associate Banks and wholly owned subsidiaries viz. State Bank
of Bikaner & Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of
Mysore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Travancore and SBI
Commercial and International Bank Ltd.
PIN: The Cardholder is initially allotted a computer-generated
4 digit PIN (Personal Identification Number) which has to be
collected from the Card issuing branch in a secured and sealed
PIN mailer.
Merchant Establishments (MEs): MEs shall include shops,
stores, restaurants, hotels and commercial establishments,
online stores among others, in India and abroad, advertised as
handling the Cards.
PoS Terminals: Point of Sale (PoS) electronic terminals at an
ME in India or abroad at which the customer can use his Card to
make purchases by debiting his/her account with the Bank.
Designated Account: Savings Bank account (designated by the
Cardholder), to which all the amounts authorized/dues payable
by the Cardholder are to be debited.
Customer Branch: The Branch at which the designated account
is maintained by the Cardholder.
Privileges: Any discount scheme which may be given by an
merchant establishments, at its discretion from time to time for
giving benefits to the Cardholder.
Debit Card Loyalty Program: A loyalty program in which State
Bank Group participates. Under the loyalty scheme, the loyalty
points earned by the Cardholder for PoS transactions are
accumulated for redemption.
Transaction: Transactions include cash withdrawals, payments
for purchases made/services availed at Merchant
Establishments, and availing other services by utilizing the Card
atATMs, MEs, PoS terminals or websites.(ii) Terms and conditions: State Bank Debit Card has been
issued as per following terms and conditions:
(a) PIN: The PIN is used for withdrawing cash at an ATM/PoS.
The PIN should be safeguarded carefully. Usage of the wrong
PIN three times would invalidate the Card for the rest of the
day. The PIN change option is available at certain ATMs (such
as all State Bank Group ATMs). While selecting a PIN, the
Cardholder is advised to avoid a PIN which can be easily
associated with him/her (e.g. telephone number, date of birth
etc.). Besides, the selected PIN value should not comprise:
Asequence from the associated account numbers/A string of
the same number/Historically significant dates.
It is the Cardholder's responsibility to ensure that the
knowledge of the PIN/PIN Mailer does not fall into any other
person's hands. The Bank bears no liability for the
unauthorized use of the Card. The responsibility is fully that of
the Cardholder. If you suspect that the PIN is divulged, you
can change the PIN by visiting a State Bank Group ATM. If you
are not in a position to visit a State Bank Group ATM, please
ensure that the Card always remains in your possession till a
new PIN is received. You can apply for a new PIN through
your Branch. The PIN will be generated after verifying the
identity of the Cardholder and delivered through his Branch in
the manner asis done in case of delivery of the earlier PIN.
Some useful tips about the safekeeping of your Card and
precautions to be taken to prevent fraud/misuse are as
follows:
Please do not write your PIN on the Card or anywhere else.
Please refrain from taking help from anyone in the ATM
room.
Please do not allow any other person to observe while
transacting. An unauthorized person can access the ATM
services on the Cardholder's account if he gains access to the
Card and the PIN. The Card should remain in the
Cardholder's possession and should not be handed over to
anyone else.
(b) (i) Loss of Card: Please keep a separate note of your Card
number and associated account number in a place readily
accessible. The Cardholder should immediately notify the
State Bank Contact Centre regarding the loss of the Card
at toll free no. 1800-11-22-11/1800-425-3800 and +91-80-
26599990 from other service providers in India and
abroad. The Call Centre will ask for some information
about the Cardholder to ensure that the caller is the actual
Cardholder. Any financial loss arising out of unauthorized
use of the Card, till such time as the Bank hotlists the Card
(disabling the utilization of the Card), will be to the
Cardholder's account.
(ii) Replacement of the Card: The Cardholder shall write to
the Customer Branch regarding loss of the Card and date
of informing the State Bank Contact Centre, and request
for replacement o the Card. On receipt of the request, the
Branch will arrange for issue of anew Card against the lost
Card, ata fee of Rs. 200/-.(c) Debits to Customer's Account: The Bank has the authority
of the Cardholder to debit the designated account of the
Cardholder for all withdrawals and payments effected by the
Cardholder by using the Card, as evidenced by the Bank's
records, which will be conclusive and binding on the
Cardholder. The Cardholder authorizes the Bank to debit the
designated account with service charges (if any) notified by
the Bank from time to time.
(d) Transactions: The transactions record generated by the
ATM or POS will be binding on the Cardholder and it will be
conclusive unless verified otherwise and corrected by the
Bank. The verified and corrected amount will be binding on
the Cardholder.
(e) Closing of Account: The Cardholder wishing to close the
designated account and surrender the Debit Card will give
the Bank notice in writing and surrender the Card along with
the notice.
(f) Validity of Card: The State Bank Gold Debit Card will be valid
for 5 years from the month and year of issue. The month and
year of expiry is preprinted on the Card. The Card is valid
through to the last date of the month of expiry.
(g) Contact Centre: For more information and help, the customer

26599990 from other service providers in India and abroad or
E-mail at contactcentre@sbi.co.in or write to State Bank
Contact Centre, Post Box No. 825, Bengaluru - 560008,
Karnataka.
(h) Specimen Signature of the Customer Must Tally: The
Cardholder shall sign the Card on the reverse as per the
specimen signature given on the application form for the
Card in the Bank's record.
(i) Range of Services: Statement of Account: A Mini
Statement of the account can be obtained at a State Bank
Group ATM.
Balance Enquiry: The Cardholder can view the balance in
the designated account and also obtain a transaction receipt
indicating the balance.
(j) Fees & Charges: Please refer to www.sbi.co.in for complete
details.
(k) Other important conditions governing the transactions:
+ The Debit Card service is meant for use at ATM/PoS/e-
commerce etc against the balance already available in the
designated account. It is the Cardholder's obligation to
maintain sufficient balance in the designated account to meet
withdrawals and service charges.
+ Where the ATM is not running online, the transactions in the
ATMvwill be accounted for on the same/next working day.
+ The Bank at its discretion may amend the Terms and
Conditions governing ATM services and this Card.
Cardholders will be notified of such changes through
notification on the Bank's website, which will be binding on the
Cardholder.+ The Bank reserves the right to introduce new facilities or remove
existing facilities as and when warranted, without assigning any
reason forthe same.
+ The Bank may at its discretion refuse any application for the
Card without assigning any reason. Fees charged (if any) for
the use of the Card are not refundable under any
circumstances.
* The Bank has the right to withdraw the privileges attached to
the Card and to call upon the Cardholder to surrender the
Card through the ME, or their representatives or any other
representative of the Bank without assigning any reason.
+ Use of the Card shall be terminated without notice, upon the
death, bankruptcy or insolvency of the Cardholder or on
receipt of a letter from any one of the joint account holders
changing the operative clause, receipt of an attachment order
from a competent court or revenue authority or from RBI due
to violation of FEMA/Exchange Control Regulations, or for
other valid reasons or when the whereabouts of the
Cardholder become unknown to the Bank due to any cause
attributable to the Cardholder.
+ The Bank is not responsible / liable for failure of any ATM to
dispense cash or if the customer is unable to withdraw cash
for any reason whatsoever or is unable to avail any facility
mentioned herein.
+ The Bank is not responsible for the refusal by any ME to
accept or honor the Card, nor shall it be responsible in any
respect for the goods or services supplied to the Cardholder.
The Cardholder shall handle or resolve all claims or disputes
directly with such establishments and no claim by the
Cardholder against the ME is subject to a set-off or
counterclaim against the Bank. The Cardholder's account will
be credited only on receipt of money from the ME or the
acquirer.
+ The Bank will not be responsible for furnishing original bills of
the ME to the Cardholder.
* The Cardholder will collect from the ME the Cardholder's copy
of the transaction receipt and will preserve the same for
his/her personal record.
* The Bank at its discretion will approve/reject any Card
transaction.
+ Atransaction put through by utilizing the Card at the ATM or
PoS terminal shall be binding on the customer.
+ The Cardholder should not countermand an order which he
has given by means of his Card.
+ The Bank shall not be liable for any loss caused by a technical
break-down of the payment system.
+ The Card is the property of the Bank and will be returned by
the Cardholder unconditionally and immediately to the Bank
upon request by the Bank. The Bank reserves the right to
cancel the Card and stop its operations unilaterally without
assigning any reason. The decision of the Bank is conclusive
and binding on the Cardholder. The Card is non-transferable.
