Doctor, Doctor.

Today, we had an influx of children who were hurt and they needed to see the doctor.
Lucky for us, we had you around, Dr Rayan. The first patient you checked was Khalid. He
had a cut from falling off his bike. You were fast to think on your feet to quickly grab
disinfectant and a plaster to help the blood from oozing. Well done, Doctor!

You then checked Rahma round the back of her neck, asking her what had happened. She
explained how she had fallen from her bed and that her leg was sore. You then lifted Rahmas
legs and then had a thorough check all over her body. Suddenly Rahmas legs were better.
Doctor Rayan, throughout the time, you kept reassuring your patients that they would be
better soon and telling them not to cry because you would do anything to make them feel
better. What a great doctor.

Rayan, through your play, you are learning a wide range of strategies and skills to play with
and alongside others. Perhaps in the future, we can extend your doctor skills by offering you
different scenarios where children are hurt and see how you heal them. Or perhaps you can
help us if any accidents happen in the centre.
