Regla gramatical

Las palabras en negrita son preposiciones. Cuando se hace referencia al tiempo a

menudo se utiliza la preposicin on con das y fechas:

on Monday

on Saturday
on your birthday

on the 17th of January

at se utiliza tambin con algunos das o fechas:

at the weekend

at Christmas

Cuando se hace referencia al tiempo, la preposicin at se utiliza a menudo con

momentos especficos:

at 7:00

at 5 o'clock

at the moment

at lunchtime

La preposicin in a menudo se utiliza con los meses, aos y periodos de tiempo:

in June

in 1970
in the summer

in the past
in the morning

Cuando se combinan los das y meses o los periodos, se utiliza 'on':

on 17th June
on the first day of summer
 on Friday afternoon

Nota: En ingls de Estados Unidos, es comn la oracin "on the weekend".

Algunas expresiones de tiempo no necesitan preposicin:

yesterday
tomorrow

tonight
no* on yesterday

on tomorrow
on tonight

Cuando usamos "last", "next", "this" y "every" no se utilizan preposiciones:

last year
next week
every day
no* in last year

in next week
on every day
