The Box of Thoughts

The box of thoughts should be locked tight

seriously, the things it contains are far from right
but the more its left, the further it turns from right
the key to the lock is connected to a kite
the thoughts are not normal, closer to insanity
the kite's high, far from any light
cannot be reached by any lightning strike

My brain is where the thoughts are engraved

if the chest is open, the well known world will change
instantly, everything normal around you will rearrange
distance would fail to exist
direction would become confused in the mist
dreams will turn to reality
but not all the thoughts are powered by positive energy
the shift will change the structure of humanity
for the better or worse is unknown from its secret
identity

Imagine a world where up was down

or imagine everything was round
actually, imagine a sky with no sun
a place where life was selected to some
where nightmares freezes the sound of the drum
where babies heaved at the sight of thumbs
not every thought has a positive outcome
so i keep the key hidden from the sights of some
