Setting:
Tacloban City

Story:

Somewhere in Tacloban City, in Leyte province, two lovers were madly in

love to each other.

Sandra, a 20 year old lass with a short hair, will leave for Manila to take
her C.P.A. review. She will come back after six months and they will get married.
Edmund, the boyfriend, a chemical engineer, was feeling sad but he cannot do
anything. He was to wait for Sandras return.

Before Sandra left, she gave Edmund a small bottle of sampaguita-scented

perfume. Its her favorite perfume.

Six months seemed very long for Edmund who loved his girlfriend very
much. His consolation is to the small bottle of perfume given by Sandra, their
pictures together and to read her letters.

Eight months had passed but Sandra had not returned. Her last letter was
dated two months ago. Edmund sent her three more letters and a telegram but he
didnt received any single response from Sandra. He then decided to visit her
personally in Manila.

He located the address where Sandra stayed. Its a big lodging house,
accepting males and females and open for 24 hours. Edmund excitedly inquired
the information clerk about Sandra but was told that he was newly hired. The one
in charge is on a day shift. Since its already late in the evening, he decided to take
a room. He will just continue to look for Sandra the next day. He occupied the
room on the second floor. Its a nice room, painted blue, with, matching blue
curtains. Although tired from his plane travel and dismayed for not seeing Sandra,
Edmund cannot fall asleep. While lying on bed, he remembered Sandra her
sweet smile, her beautiful face.

Suddenly, he felt cold, as if something embracing him. Then the room was
filled with a sweet odor. It smells like his sampaguita-scented perfume! He stood
up and opened his traveling bag. The bottle of perfume was closed. He was
puzzled. How come the room was filled by its sweet smell?

Oh Sandra, where are you? I wish you are with me, he then said to
himself wearing a sad face. He went back to bed and sleep.

Its already eleven oclock when he woke up. He took a bath and dressed
up.

He went straight to the information counter and inquired the day-shift

clerk, named Robert, about Sandra. Robert seemed to think for a while when he
told him that Sandra has moved out from their place three months ago. He did not
hear from her again. Thats the only information Johnnie got.

With a sad look, he went out. He will start to look for Sandrafor how
long, he does not know. His heart is full of love and hope. He believes that he will
find his beloved Sandra. They will get married and start a family.

Back to the lodging house, Robert, the information clerk, murmured to

himself:

Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! What a pitiful man! He is looking for Sandra, the former
occupant of the blue room on the second floor. Sandra, that beautiful short-haired
lady whom I fell madly in love but was turned down. I cannot accept that she
already has a boyfriend and that she couldnt give back the love I gave her so I
killed her and threw her body in an abandoned building somewhere in Pasay.

When Edmund found out what happened to his beloved girlfriend, Sandra,
he felt a terrible pain. He cried and cried every single day. He didnt go back to
Tacloban, he then stayed in the lodging house where his girlfriend stayed before.
The only way for him to feel the presence of his dead girlfriend was the
sampaguita-scented perfume that Sandra gave and in the blue room.
