PRESS RELEASE
Ithas come to the notice of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) that a sect
of the Press has published a misleading report concerning the MCQ based test for the post of
Lecturer Computer Science held on 29 July 2017. Similar reports were also carried on the social
‘media. It has been alleged that the paper was leaked prior to the Examination and that all
questions in the Paper had! been picked up from one website. Some reports even suggested that
the Paper was available on this website inthe “Same Format” as the PPSC paper.
‘The Commission would like to underline that it engages senior and competent Subject
specialists to prepare Question Papers, These papers are also randomly screened by another
Subject Specialist in the same field. The Question Papers are invariably printed only hours
before they are actually transported to various venues in sealed covers and boxes under personal
custody of Directors of PPSC. Proper procedures are followed to ensure secrecy and security of
the Papers. Therefore, there is no chance of the paper being leaked. The Commission denies this
allegation, which, it seems, is based on hearsay.
As regards, the content of the paper, the matter is being investigated. The website, which
‘was ostensibly used as a source for the questions appearing the Paper, is one of the multitude of
other websites that cary questions and information on Computer Science. It seems to be @
repository of MCQs on Computer Science/Engineering on more than 100 related topics. Under
cach topic more than 1000 MCQs/answers are given covering almost every aspect of Computer
Science, Collectively there are more then 100,000 MCQ on the website, related to Computer
Science,
The Commission would like to assure all the candidates that no injustice will be done and
that all the candidates would be evaluated with the same yardstick. The candidates are advised
not to be misguided by such misleading reports
