At the age of seven, Patrick lost his parents and a left leg in a tragic accident. The car
they went travelling in skidded and plunged into a ravine. It took him a few years to get over
his deep sense of despair and to start learning how to live with his disability.

Patrick went the extra mile to succeed in his studies. He studied very hard to prove
to people around him that he was capable of achieving his goals. Patrick was the recipient of
The Best Student award every year when he was at the secondary school. He also
represented his school in many competitions.
