 These Staff Line and Beat Map Templates are something every music teacher needs in their teach-
ing toolbox. Use them for elementary music ear training, dictation, iconic notation and composition
activities.

The larger graphics are for use with iconic notation such as coins, beans, candy, math counters
(plastic discs), and/or craft/popsicle sticks (stick notation). The smaller graphics are for pencil work.
The sheets with multiple copies may be folded to provide six separate working spaces (to help stu-
dents focus on the task at hand and easily move on to the next). These files may also be digitally
projected to create a working/modeling visual space.
