For Parents Wanting to Chaperone

STEP 1
Go To: District Office Website
Click on: For Parents
Choose: Secure Volunteer and complete application

STEP 2
Notify teacher when application is complete.

STEP 3
Teacher notifies Mrs. Elliott that parent has applied.

STEP 4
Mrs. Elliott submits parents name for a back-ground check. (This could take up to 2 weeks for
processing)

STEP 5
When approved, Mrs. Elliott will notify teacher of approval. A current list of approved chaperones will
be sent to all staff the 1st Monday of every month.

STEP 6
Teacher will notify parent of Approved status.

If a parent is not approved by the day of the field trip, they WILL NOT be permitted to go on the field
trip. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Please make sure parents know that just because they apply to Secure Volunteer on-line DOES
NOT mean that their application will be processed. The application process is vetted by Mrs.
Elliott. Each step above should be followed.
