Writing plan: / Plan de escritura:

Objective: To write a reply to Sakie e-mail message.

Plan:

1. Johana thanks Sakie for her message.

2. Johana tells Sakie she has to arrive to Yokohama train station one hour
before the train departures.
3. Johana tells Sakie that after the train arrives in Tokyo, she needs to take a
bus from the train station to Narita International airport.
4. Johana recommends having the passport and boarding pass on hand before
the check in.
5. Johana tells Sakie that the flight to Los Angeles takes very long. Considering
the arrival time, Johana thinks it is better to spend the night at the hotel
airport.
6. Johanna tells Sakie she can wake up early and do some shopping at the
duty free section of Los Angeles airport. (The duty free is at Terminal 2).
7. Johana tells Sakie that the boarding gate to Bogotas flight is at Terminal 5.
Thus, Sakie needs to take a shuttle from Terminal 2 to Terminal 5. The
shuttle takes 15 minutes. Johana also tells Sakie that she can walk, if she
prefers so. The walk from Terminal 2 to Terminal 5 takes about 35 minutes.
8. Johana tells Sakie she cant spend too much time walking around because
she can miss her flight.
9. Johana tells Sakie that she is working in the afternoons now. So, on
September 23rd she cant go to El Dorado airport. Johana tells Sakie that
after she arrives in Bogota, she has to go pass by the immigration
checkpoints.
10. Johana tells Sakie that after passing immigration she can go to the baggage
claim section and pick up her luggage.
11. Johana tells Sakie that there are taxi points at El Dorado Airport where she
can ask for a safe Taxi.
12. Johana tells Sakie to get a taxi and ask the driver to take her to the
downtown, where Johana lives.
13. Johana says goodbye.

Check: Read the e-mail again and check for mistakes (grammar, spelling,
punctuation, etc.).

My dear friend

Thank you for your message; I am glad to hear from you and I think the idea of visiting Bogot is great,
without a doubt the city will enchant you.

First you must arrive at Yokohama train station one hour before the train departs, after the train arrives
in Tokyo, you must take the bus from the train station to Narita International Airport. The journey is very
long, you can take your mp3 to listen to music, you must remember that it is essential to carry the
passport in your hand at the airport as it is very likely that you need it all the time.

The flight to Los Angeles is too long and it seems to me excellent that you arrive at night with that you
can rest for a while and you will get faster flight; When you arrive I recommend you spend the night at
the airport hotel. You can get up early for breakfast and if you have some free time to do some
shopping in the tax free section of the Los Angeles airport. (It is in Terminal 2).

The gate for the flight from Bogot is in Terminal 5. Therefore, you must take a bus from Terminal 2 to
Terminal 5. You must be concentrated because you could take the wrong door. The sign on the door
says "Terminal 5", you can also walk and if you prefer this will be about 35 minutes.
But I honestly dont recommend walking because if you are late you could miss your flight.

If you do not delay the flight you will most likely arrive in the afternoon but for now I am working in the
afternoons, so I cant pick you up. You will have to pass the immigration controls and you can go to the
luggage section and pick yours up; You can take a taxi at the special points outside the airport where
there are people in charge of this to which you must indicate that you need to go to the center where I
live.

We can talk about your trip during dinner and go for a walk.

Best wishes, I hope to hear from you soon Saki.
