Any deviation from this SOP must be discussed with Completion Superintendent and Area Manager. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE : ‘The purpose of this SOP is to serve as reference for rig personnel to shut-in a well. They are expected to understand and able to shut in the well properly and minimize influx. This SOP is to ensure that all shut in process will be done consistently as part of Operational Excellence (OE). _ Personnel Involved: 1. Tool Pusher Driller Derrick man Floor man Roustabout 2. PROCEDURE 2.1. Shut in while Drilling/Milling/Circulating 1. If one of positive kick indicator is observed, Driller shall sound alarm conduct 38 while drilling (Space out, Shut off pump, Shut in). 2. Driller shall lower or pick up string to pre-determined height (space out) in order to prevent tool joint in the stack prior closing the BOP. 3._Driller shall shut down pump after tool joint is cleared from BOP. 4. Tool Pusher/Driller close Annular BOPE. ‘* Tool Pusher and Driller has right and responsibility to shut in well at any time without approval from WSM. * Tool Pusher must make sure there is no leak in the Annular and proper Annular pressure is applied 5._Tool Pusher monitor SICP in the choke manifold and report to WSM 2.2. Shut in while Tripping Shut-in procedure a the Dari Field (10 Opsraiion ‘A, Shut in While Tripping 1. Prior to tripping, Driller must ensure FOSV + X-Over fit with strings and key for FOSV are on the rig floor. 2. If one of positive kick indicator is observed, Driller shall sound alarm and conduct 38 while tripping (Stab in, Space out, Shut in) Floor-man install FOSV + X-Over fit to string and close the valve 4. Tool Pusher monitor SICP in the choke manifold and report to WSM. SPECIALCASE The following steps are recommended if it is not possible to stab in FOSV due to hazard flow thru string (eg: hot water kick, steam, H2S): Al crew gather into Muster Point. + Driller space-out string to avoid tool joint across the BOP stack + Driller/Too! Pusher close Annular BOPE. + Driller/Tool Pusher open the panic line to let the flow coming out through. Once the situation is possible to stab-in the FOSV, then floorman pick-up the FOSV and stab-in to the string if return from well is still hot water or steam and Driller can not do pumping (eg: no water source, pump failure) follow these steps: + Ifstring is non-shearable, follow well control for Non-Shearable procedure. + If string is shearable then Tool Pusher close blind shear ram (BSR). + If blind shear ram can not be closed properly. then follow well control for Non-Shearable procedure. 2.3. Shut in during Wireline Operation 1 Before conducting wireline operations ‘Wireline operators shall prepare wireline cutter. Tool Pusher has to verify that wireline cutter is available. Tool Pusher shall open gate at choke line to monitor casing pressure. 2. IF one of positive kick indicator is observed, Driller or Wireline Engineer shall sound alarm, ‘Wireline operator shall increase pack off pressure. 4. If possible to pull wireline tools out of hole and goes into lubricator, Driller shail close blind ranvblind shear ram. 5._If not possible to pull all wireline tools out of hole: a Tool Pusher close annular BOP ’b._ Wireline operator shall cut wire line using cutter (see cutting wireline during Well Control SOP) ¢. Tool Pusher shall close Blind Ram/Blind Shear Ram to secure well sr monitor SICP in the choke manifold and 6 2.4; Shut in while Running Tubing ‘Shut in accordance with procedures well while Tripping (2.2) 2.5.
