Focal Point (Top): The focal point of the top form has to be said to be dead center.

Firstly, the
widest part of the work is located in the center of the piece, even if it is by a tiny amount.
Further, the glazed spiral seems to lead to this point, as well, only adding to the feeling of
centrality in the center of the piece.

Directional Movement (Top): The direction of movement in this piece seems, to me, to be
twofold. The spiral draws the eye and seems to flow inward towards the aesthetic center of the
piece. Also, though, it does seem to be flowing downwards along the slope of the piece and
especially the graceful handle.

Ratio (Top): I found the piece to have a 2:1 whole number ratio, giving it a symetrical as well as
aesthetically ballanced look.

Contrast (Top): This piece is decidedly without stark contrast. The white paint stands out on the
beige glaze, but it is not "pop out" by any means.

Focal Point (Bottom): It is difficult for me to pinpoint
