ANALOG MULTIMETER

Analog multimeters are instruments that are used to measure electrical quantities
such as voltage, current, resistance, frequency and signal power. Basic
functionality includes measurement of potential in volts, resistance in ohms, and
current in amps. Analog multimeters are used to find electronic and electrical
problems. Advanced units come with more features such as capacitor, diode and IC
testing modes.

Functiong
multimeters have many abilities, there are a wide range available to suit most
engineers needs. These start from basic models costing only a few Pounds Sterling
which are capable of measuring voltage, resistance and current, to expensive and
exotic meters.
Measure Voltage in AC and DC circuits. Measure current flow AC and DC circuits
Measure Resistance of the complete circuit or individual components Measure
Transistor Gain Perform Diode tests Measure Temperatures etc.

DC MOTOR
A direct current or DC motor, converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. It
is one of two basic types of motors: the other type is the alternating current or
AC motor. Among DC motors, there are shunt-wound, series-wound, compound-wound and
permanent magnet motors.

FUNCTION

A DC motor consists of an stator, an armature, a rotor and a commutator with

brushes. Opposite polarity between the two magnetic fields inside the motor cause
it to turn. DC motors are the simplest type of motor and are used in household
appliances, such as electric razors, and in electric windows in cars.

Insulation Tester
The insulation test (also called high resistance test) is always made DC. The
insulation test is combined with a short-circuit test and high voltage test in DC.

Function

are designed to help prevent hazards such as electric shock and short-circuits
caused when the insulation in electrical devices, parts, and equipment used in
industrial plants, buildings, and other settings degrades over long periods of use.
