Y12 PSA Health Campaign

Your task is to create a public service announcement a part of a health

campaign! Your aim is to raise awareness on different ways to prevent the
spread of disease.

Step 1: Get into your groups. You will then be assigned a topic from the
following list:

- Hygiene practices
- Quarantine
- Vaccination, including passive and active immunity
- Public health campaigns
- Use of pesticides
- Genetic engineering

Step 2: Use secondary resources to research your topic. Make sure that the
websites/books that you use are relevant, reliable and valid (i.e. NO
WIKIPEDIA)

Information you gather should:

- Describe what your method of prevention is
- Explain how the method of prevention works
- Provide some relevant statistics
- Contain images
- Provide links on where to find more information
- Have a bibliography (Harvard referencing style)

Step 3: Gather your information and produce either a pamphlet, infographic or

newspaper advertisement. Send your final product to me and I will create an
online portfolio for the class.
