Vasquez Cobo excelled as a soldier in the Thousand Days' War (1899-1902),


fighting on the side of the Conservative Party, to be promoted to General and
get to be part of the signatories of the peace agreement that sealed the end of
the conflict, "Treaty of Wisconsin," as one of three general delegates for their
party.
