Class Description:
Physical Science 8 is a laboratory-based course that integrates the study of physical science from physics
to chemistry. Physical Science 8 introduces students to many new ideas in science while building upon
concepts introduced in other middle school courses.

Textbooks:
-McDougall Littell Physical Science Alabama Edition
*-AMSTI Science and Technology Concepts
*The AMSTI textbooks will remain in the classroom for students to use during laboratory experiments.
Students will be provided with all information needed to complete homework/projects outside of class.

Science Fees:
Physical Science 8 would like to ask for a 5 dollar laboratory donation to cover cost of supplies and
equipment. If you would like to donate, please make checks payable to Russell County Middle School.

Student Requirements in Science:


No Food, Chewing Gum or Drinks allowed in Class.
No cell phones or other electronic devices allowed in class unless specified by the
teacher for class-related activities/assignments.
All students are expected to be on their best behavior each day, especially on
laboratory days when experiments will be conducted.
Students are expected to be on time and bring all needed supplies to class daily.
Classwork and homework must be turned in on time.
If a class is missed, it is the responsibility of the student to make up any missed
work.
