BIRTH AND CHILDHOOD

T he best give I have ever received is the gift of life; the very gift that allows me to write
these very words. Existed through the love and care of my parents, Donaldo De La Rosa and
Aquilina De La Rosa, I was born on the 28th of June 1994 in a thriving city of Batangas. On my
2nd day in this world, I was finally granted a name, Daryl Paul Balita De La Rosa.

I am the only child of OFW Parents. My father and mother met while they were working
in the State of Kuwait, an Arab country in the Middle East. My mother, as a domestic helper, and
my father, as a driver, chanced upon themselves during a Filipino event and gathering. Id like to
think that it was destiny for them to meet and find out that they both went to the same Community
College in Lipa City, Batangas and called each other Kabayan!. It only took them a few more
months before they fall in love with each other and get married in the Philippine Embassy of
Kuwait.
