Language change is a fact. One of the language changes is semantic change which is a part of historical Semantics. This Study is describing the six semantic change in bahasa Indonesia. The six semantic changes described in the paper are caused by syntagmatic relationship, lexical gap in vocabulary, connotation change, the transformation from concrete to abstract references, synesthesia phenomena, and literal translation.
