JAUNDICE ON NEWBORN 0-3 DAYS IN CLASS B CIANJUR PUBLIC HOSPITAL PERIOD MAY-JUNE YEAR 2016 V Chapters + 44 Pages + 6 Tables + 1 Chart + 10 Attachments Jaundice is a yellowing of the sclera, skin or other tissue due to accumulation of bilirubin in body or blood of more than 5mg / dl in 24 hours. Based on a preliminary study in class B Cianjur public hospitals showed that 60% of women did not know about jaundice and the benefits of breastfeeding to prevent jaundice. This research aims to determine the relationship Provision colostrum with the occurence of jaundice in newborns 0-3 days in class B Cianjur public hospitals. Research type used analytic. Sampling techniques used accidental sample with total population 232 respondents, sample of 125 respondents. Research started on 17 May to 17 June 2016. Data collection by observation and questionnaire, statistics tested by used Chi-Square. Results obtained mostly provide colostrum which (75%) experienced Kremer 1 in newborn. P-value (0.000) below value of (0:05), so Ha is accepted. Results of this research there are significant relationship between the provision of colostrum with the occurence of jaundice in newborns 0-3 days in class B cianjur public hospital 2016. Expected to class B Cianjur public hospital in order to continue improving services, counseling and education about the benefits of breastfeeding to prevent jaundice.
