Air Ejector System
An Air Ejector System is an upgrade from a vacuum pump
system; allowing you to increase productivity, save energy and
reduce operating costs
What is an Air Ejector System?
The Air Ejector System uses a venturi ejector
mechanism to create a vacuum utilizing plant
compressed air.
The Air Ejector System creates vacuum without
moving parts except for a solenoid valve that is
used to turn the vacuum on and off.
An air ejector is installed at the end of the per-
meate line header for each train.
Two common applications for the Air Ejector Sys-
tem are to replace or enhance an existing vacu-
um pump system and to remove air following a
membrane integrity test (MIT).
How does an Air Ejector work?
Compressed air travels through nozzles and cre-
ates vacuum. The air within the system discharg-
es through the exhaust. See graphic below.

Extends the life of your existing vacuum pumps
by reducing their usage.
Reduces the operating and maintenance cost
associated with your existing vacuum pump
system. Maintenance of the Air Ejector System
is inexpensive since there are no moving parts.
Provides noise and energy reduction since the
Air Ejector System is used intermittently.
Increases flexibility since each train will have
independent air removal.
Increases productivity by venting air faster fol-
lowing a MIT; thereby allowing you to restart
production quicker.
